EMBLEM MAGIC

Inscriptions (This will probably take a long time >~<)

Elemental Inscriptions:
These inscriptions, when used, will add an elemental effect to the emblem. They are often placed on single use emblems, which produce large effects before needing to recharge or being destroyed outright.

Fire: A triangle, facing down
Emblems with a fire inscription often serve one of two purposes: Destruction, or heating something. They are something to be wary of, especially when placed upon metal, which implies very heavily that they will be used for the purpose of destruction. Fire inscriptions, however, are used most often by the impoverished, as it is an easy inscription to carve onto leather or wood, and when activated on those mediums it can be used to light small campfires. Fire inscriptions are the only elemental inscriptions that aren't considered purely a modifier inscription, as they can produce worthwhile effects on their own.

Water: A demi circle, curve down
Water inscriptions often do not produce water, instead manipulating water they exist in or are directed at. The only water inscriptions capable of producing water are placed upon gems, and require modifier inscriptions in order to achieve that purpose. Placing water inscriptions on wood or leather is nearly useless, as even with modifier inscriptions they can rarely do anything worthwhile (they can, however, purify water to a certain extent: mostly used to get rid of bacteria and salt, but not poison). However, metal emblems with water inscriptions are very useful on ships, often allowing water to be bailed out instantly in an emergency (about ten buckets worth), allowing oars to move more easily through water, and a few other uses. Royal ships often carry a few gem emblems with water inscriptions for emergencies, with the Leviathan being a very noteable example (Leviathan and its weapons discussed later).

Air: Three wavy lines
Air inscriptions, similar to water, often do not produce air. For the most part, it is rare to see an air inscription used anywhere other than a ship.

Earth: Circle

Ox going to be reviewing my awful writing down here-

Orist Ren nearly laughed form his concealed position; he had never seen a bar with so much happening in the space of only an hour. Orist Ren had been grateful that inflation of the bar had been easy, even without his magic. He once again scanned the tavern, before letting his eyes settle on
